THE PUNCHLINE
OUR CUSTOMERS THINK COCKROACHES ARE CREEPY AND GROSS. NONE OF US LIKE WAKING UP AT NIGHT AND SEEING THEM CRAWLING AROUND THE WALLS OF OUR HOUSE. IF YOU HAVE SEEN THEM IN YOUR HOUSE THEN KILLING THE ONE YOU HAPPEN TO SEE IS NOT LIKELY TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. THERE IS NO DOUBT MORE HIDING IN DARK PLACES WAITING TO COME OUT, AND FOR COMMERCIAL CLIENTS ESPECIALLY, THE AMERICAN AND GERMAN COCKROACHES ARE A VERY BIG HEALTH ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE SORTED ASAP BEFORE A BIG INFESTATION HAPPENS.
LET'S GO INTO BATTLE TOGETHER AND GET THEM SORTED! A TREATMENT WILL USUALLY KEEP THEM AWAY FOR AT LEAST 4 MONTHES WE ADVISE OUR CLIENTS ITS BEST TO DO A MAINTENANCE TOP UP TREATMENT AT $95 4 MONTHLY.
GISBORNE COCKROACH
CombatKiwi gets asked to help our customers win the war against these types of roaches because they make people feel like their homes are dirty, and because they are considered gross and creepy. They usually enter your house by accident as they live in your gardens and crawl on the outside of your house and find their way in through a window or gap. They also come in on wood for those who have fires.
Our methods are very effective to not only deal to any that are hiding in your house but we also treat the ones crawling on your house and kill them before they get in.
German Cockroach

The German Cockroach is a different sort of problem for the house owner. CombatKiwi gets called because these roaches get out of control and our customers have usually tried to get rid of them but can not seem to win the war. Although these roaches do not look as gross as the Gisborne Cockroaches, they are actually worse to have living and breeding in your place. They can quickly take over and are hard to get rid of unless you know the right methods and have the winning strategy. These roaches are much more likely to spread germs and disease around your house so it is vital we win the war fast.

Humans vs Cockroaches. How the War goes
The human goes to bed at night, the house goes quiet as everyone falls asleep. Hiding behind enemy lines in your home is the cockroach army.
They use their abilities to sense even the smallest movements in your house, and when the coast is clear, they will emerge out of the dark and damp places where they wait and come out to feed on any food crumbs left.
They live in the shadows while you go about living, breeding and growing in numbers. As the numbers grow, the cockroach armies food supplies get stretched and now they need to spread out and explore other parts of your home, setting up new camps.
Now, under pressure, the cockroaches become more brave and start walking around your walls, over the kitchen bench, and have even been known to walk over you while you sleep.
The human gets up in the middle of the night, turning on the light, and they are seen. The human runs and gets the fly spray, and kills the three cockroaches seen that night.
After wiping the areas with disinfectant, the human goes back to bed thinking the war was won.
However, cockroaches have survived a very long time because they are very resilient, and the human is not aware that there is still 10 more hiding behind curtains, under sinks, and in appliances and they have been laying eggs, hundreds of them.
There is a huge invasion coming. The human goes away for the weekend, and when they do, hundreds of roaches walk around their house spreading germs and laying more eggs everywhere.
In New Zealand, war against cockroaches involves the big three: Gisborne Cockroaches, The American Cockroach, and German Cockroaches. There are others but these three are the main offenders.
Depending on which type(s) are invading your house, the strategy to beat them needs to be different, as like any army, they have different strengths and weaknesses. In most cases in the Wellington area, people see Gisborne Cockroaches crawling around their house and find them disgusting and creepy looking, and it makes humans feel like their house is getting germs spread everywhere.
Untrained people can have some success dealing with Gisborne Cockroaches, but the other 2 types will prove impossible for most.
The humans fight back again, using bug bombs and insect traps, but the fight goes in a constant cycle of killing a few roaches, then back they come, over and over again the
cycle repeats. The reason is, that those eggs they laid meant a constant supply of new cockroach troops coming into existence and going to war with you trying to make your home, their home.
After a long battle, the human finally gives up and calls CombatKiwi Pest Control to come to help them win the fight.
A plan of attack is made, the cockroach's life cycle is broken by special techniques and an effective strategy that has been employed, and the cockroach armies are defeated.
The humans retake command of their house and not only win the battle, but with advice from Combatkiwi Pest Control, they will win the war.
If your house is being invaded and you need some help to win your war, we would love to join forces with you and get the victory as a team.
"I had a cockroach crawl on me when I was asleep, I woke up and had it on my face, it was the most disgusting thing ever! I made my husband treat the house but we had more. Eventually, we called in CombatKiwi and we got service that same day, really good advice, and killed them. We were told to expect to see some dead ones and yup, in the morning we found three more, but at least they were dead. So yuk! They did a great job on our place." - Arron and Sarah H.
