RODENT CONTROL

RATS AND MICE

THE PUNCHLINE

Note: Rodent removal: Some of our clients want us to look for dead rodents once treated. We will come back to remove any dead rodents or spend an extra 30 mins looking for any dead rodents around the property for a charge of $ 95.00. In most cases the rodents will die away from property. Pricing: We advise clients go on a 4 monthly plan for maintenance to protect their property. This is cheaper long term and costs $95 to do a property inspection and refill.

OUR CLIENTS USUALLY CALL US IN BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN INVADED BY RATS OR MICE, THEY HAVE EITHER SEEN THEM OR THEIR DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE OR THEY HAVE BEEN HEARING THEM IN THE WALLS OR CEILING. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS, YOU KNOW THAT IT CAN BE REALLY UNPLEASANT.

OFTEN CUSTOMERS HAVE A CRACK AT THE JOB THEMSELVES AND USUALLY, THIS MEANS BUYING POISEN FROM THE LOCAL SHOP AND THROWING IT IN THE CEILING AND UNDER THE HOUSE.

THIS IS ACTUALLY A BIG MISTAKE TO MAKE FOR A FEW REASONS, BUT THE MAIN ONE IS THE RISK THAT THE RODENTS WILL CARRY THIS AND DROP IT, WHERE CHILDREN OR ANIMALS CAN GET IT, AND IT HAPPENS MORE THAN YOU WOULD THINK. THERE ARE OTHER IMPORTANT REASONS BUT WE CAN FILL YOU IN IF YOU DO REQUIRE US TO HELP YOU.

DON'T LET THE RODENTS TAKE OVER YOUR HOUSE TO EAT YOUR WIRES AND SPREAD GERMS AND DISEASES... WE KNOW THIS FIGHT WELL AND CAN HELP YOU WIN IT.

WHAT DO MOST OF OUR CUSTOMERS WANT?

FIRST, THEY WANT THE INITIAL PROBLEM GONE. IF THEY ARE HEARING RATS IN THEIR CEILING AND/OR WALLS THEY HATE IT, AND IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED IT YOU WILL KNOW WHY. IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE DOING A LOT OF DAMAGE, AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE.

ONCE WE SORT OUT THE PROBLEM, THE CUSTOMERS DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH IT AGAIN, THEREFORE THEY WANT US TO COME BACK AND TRY TO PREVENT ANOTHER INFESTATION. WE CAN DO THIS BY THE ADVICE WE GIVE AND BY GETTING THE CLIENT TO GO ON A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PLAN I.E. WE COME BACK EVERY 3 MONTHS OR 6 MONTHS ETC.

MOST CLIENTS NEED TO SAVE MONEY WHERE THEY CAN SO GET US TO COME BACK JUST BEFORE WINTER WHEN RODENTS ARE LOOKING FOR A WARM PLACE I.E. YOUR HOME.

LANDLORDS AND RETIREES ARE ALSO HAPPY WITH THIS PLAN BECAUSE IT NOT ONLY HELPS CONTROL RODENTS BUT GIVES SOME PEACE OF MIND AS WE ARE ALSO LOOKING OUT FOR ISSUES LIKE WATER LEAKS, SIGNS OF BORER, AND HAVING BAIT IN THE CEILING SPACE CAN ALSO REVEAL AIRFLOW ISSUES AS BAIT CAN SHOW SIGNS ON IT IF THIS IS HAPPENING. OUR RETIREES ARE ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL FOR HAVING US HAVE A GOOD LOOK, TAKING PICTURES ETC. OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE ROOF SPACE AS MOST DO NOT WANT TO RISK GOING UP IN THERE AT THEIR AGE, WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR THESE CUSTOMERS.

RODENTS VS HUMANS

The rodents get together for their annual “survive winter” meeting.

The Roof Rat- Rattus runs the agenda, while the other rodent representatives, The Norway Rat, Kiore, the Polynesian Rat, and the heads of certain prominent House Mouse families sit around the table to hear this year's “Attack the Human House Plan”.

Rattus begins by unveiling the plan. “Right team, winter is coming and I’m not freezing to death, so I want you to gather all your families and spread out, each looking for a human house or two.

Now remember a few things, firstly humans are stupid, and as long as you don't do stupid things like they do, you will survive.

The humans will leave us plenty of food and water around, and keep their houses nice and warm for you, but you must remember to be careful when you're in their walls and ceilings not to make too many scratching sounds, they hate that.

Also, you lot have to be careful when you're gnawing away at their houses. I know you need to keep those teeth from growing too long but a good idea is chewing away at their electrical wires, doesn’t make too much sound, well unless you go right to the wires then there can be a bit of a loud bang, haha.

humans also look for our droppings, they don’t like them inside where they live, and remember when you urinate everywhere the humans think it stinks so maybe look to pick out-of-the-way spots.

On the other hand, if they annoy you then do it everywhere you can, why not spread a bit of germ and disease around?

If they want to call us a health risk then let's do that, I mean we can only spread about 35 diseases, I don’t see why they have such an issue.

I would have thought they would have hated the fact we can host all sorts of other stuff like fleas, mites, ticks, and parasites.

Although I kinda enjoy taking those into their houses and dumping a few, serves them right for blaming us for everything, They brought us to this country so don’t complain if we try and live in it, fair is fair.

Right, humans do not really know we are social creatures with established orders.

Male Alpha Rats, I want you to go out and look for rental properties. Humans who get a rat problem often don’t want to tell the house owners till we have done plenty of damage so this makes for a good target.

Now, what humans normally do is, chuck a bit of the hardware shop bait around under the house and in the roof space, but you don’t need to worry because the lower-ranking rats you sent out to investigate will eat that, so it is not effective.

Then when that doesn’t work, they will put a trap out.

Worry not, again it is only the lower-ranking family members who might get caught. Humans have no idea we are Neophobic and are very unlikely to go in their stupid traps, The odd idiot does but since there are thousands more of us it is also very ineffective.

So you have nothing to worry about, We will outsmart the humans once again this year. Oh, beware though, there are rumors of a Pest Control Company called CombatKiwi Pest Control.

If you ever see them turn up, get out of there, and go target someone else's house, they know what they are doing, they seem to be helping the humans win against us.

Protect your property before too much damage is done, contact us at CombatKiwi Pest Control, to help you win the war on Rodent Pests.

"So we had tried the standard form of mouse trapping as this had always worked for us before.  But in desperation, I contacted Nathan and he was able to assess our situation, give us great advice, and bait stations, and then supported us until they were gone. Including accommodating our dog and grandchildren. We are so relieved to have the house clear of mice!  Thanks, Nathan, " L.B.
